Description of game
Half human, half-vampire, Agent BloodRayne has superhuman
strength, agility and senses that make her capable of skills far beyond the
scope of a normal human. This formidable huntress works for the Brimstone
Society--an underground organization that seeks out and destroys
supernatural threats. Two missions, five years apart, turn out to be
connected by one man: Jurgen Wulf. For years, he's been searching for
powerful occult artifacts that would bring Nazi Germany into a new age of
domination during WWII. BloodRayne is the world's only chance to defeat his
elite Nazi army and prevent them from releasing untold horror upon its
people.
Review of game
This Game ROCKS!! I bought this game for two reasons: I like
hack-em-up's, and I like women. This game has amazing graphics, for example,
some blood splatters out of a victim's neck after a "snack", and will stay
in puddles on the ground. Another example of graphic superiority is the
characters. ALL of the creatures are the breast, I mean best I have ever
seen. The best-done character in the game is of course, Rayne. You will see
hair flowing, muscles moving in a realistic fashion, and all the feminine
features are great. And the graphic function that will help the most is the
different vision types. You have normal; Aura vision (shows the life force
of the enemies); "Matrix" Vision, which slows everything down to pull some
cool moves off; and finally binocular vision, for use with rifle to do
sniper shots. The sounds is outstanding. You can just be standing there, you
can here the sounds of nature, the wind, victims' footsteps, and Nazis
yelling at you to do something (I don't know, i don't speak German). The
controls are typical and easy to understand. One button shoots, one for
jump, one for blades, one for Blood Rage (All your normal stuff at twice the
speed for matrix type moves), and one for picking different gun types. If
you love bloody games, go drop X dollars for this game. You won't regret it.
Take it from me, a 17 y.o. with 16 years gaming experience, who has played
almost any type of game made.
-------------
After playing this game it would be hard to argue that
Nintendo isn't sensitive to the needs of its mature gaming audience.
BloodRayne has it all: scantily clad vampire-mutants, a plethora of four
letter words, blood & dismemberment, and endless Nazis to mutilate in any
way you please.
Overall the game wasn't that challenging. I completed the
entire game on a long Sunday afternoon. Anyone looking for a game to test
their mental capacity will be strongly disappointed. However, if you're
looking for a simple hack'em slash'em you'll definitely be pleased.
For the reasons mentioned above I definitely wouldn't
recommend this game for small children (hence the M rating).
If you can find this game used for cheap I would grab a
copy, otherwise don't blow your hard earned pay on this title.
