Description
Smuggler's Run 2: War Zones thrusts the player into the
position of working for an elite band of smugglers delivering contraband
through the most volatile war zones on Earth. The game includes
time-sensitive missions, including helicopter and plane drops, chases, and
convoy drops. Eight crime-driven smuggling gangs and the authorities all
work feverishly to protect their turf by any means necessary. Fend them off
with offensive countermeasures, including smoke screens, oil slicks, nitro
boosts, and exploding kegs.
The series has been a big hit on the PlayStation2, and this
version for the GameCube introduces lots of new elements: countermeasures
such as acid drops, vertical boosts, and a cloaking device; new multiplayer
games like Domination and Fox and the Hounds; and support for up to four
players. The action ranges over five huge environments in settings such as
North America, Vietnam, and Eastern Europe, complete with palatial temples,
ancient ruins, and small war-torn villages. The maps are also highly
interactive, with hazards such as minefields, crossfire, and avalanches.
Review
I bought this game the day it came out. I went home and
starting playing it and it was fun for the first week. But then as somebody
mentioned in another review just got plain boring because that's all you do
is deliver packages. I think they should've made this game better by making
you do missions where you have to get out of your car and do strategic
missions instead of speed but that isn't the way they made it. On the other
hand the graphics are great and look like the GameCube was made to look
like. The cars are pretty good but where in the h*ll will you find a truck
with a faster speed than a race car this makes the game kind of not
realistic. It is still a good game and worth buying. To sum it up good game
at first but gets boring and a little bit unrealistic.
